Shinde-Fadnavis govt puts on hold MVA's Rs 600 Crore Tourism Project

On 25th July, Maharashtra's new goverment stays MVS projects and decisions. Some of the projects that have been stayed by the Shinde-Fadnavis government include those initiated by the Tourism Minister which was led by Aaditya Thackery. On Monday, tourism and cultury affair department has stayed projects worth Rs 596 crore. Of these, projects worth Rs 381 crore were sanctioned for tourism at district level and another Rs 251 crore were sanctioned for Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation ( MTDC) when Aditya was minister.

Normally, the finance department releases 7% of the budget every month. It was decided to release the fund every quarter. Thackery and Aditi Tatkarehas decided to split the budget in 40:60 ratio and take up work as suggested by MP's and MLA's from both rulling parties and the oppositions. All the works recommended by elected representatives had to mandatorily come through the district collector. The MVA government had allocated Rs101 crore for the conservation of ancient temple including Adi shakti ekvira mata mandir in Maval.
